The end of the world to a caterpillar is but a heartbeat away
from the freedom of flight.
This monarch butterfly caterpillar is coming to the end of it's way of life. If it were human, it might be feeling low: "What is the meaning of life? What have I accomplished? Does anyone really know me? Does anyone actually care?
It might not feel like hanging around any longer. What's the point?
But we know that it is living in a world where it hard to see beyond the horizon. Case in point, this caterpillar will never travel more than a few feet in its entire lifetime. It's vision is poor it has no knowledge about the vast world of possibilities outside its field of view.
Caterpillar Journal Thursday, November 3, I'm stuffed, can't eat another bite. Don't understand what's happening to my body.
